Community Health/Health Education: Health education is an integral part of curriculum. In addition, the school takes some special programmes for the children. Knowledge on nutrition and various health issues is disseminated among the parents during Parents Teachers Meeting. Anti-Helminties: SNEHA organizes and celebrates Hand Washing Day every year. Last year too, it was organized on 15th October, 2011 in the School campus to sensitize the children about the importance of washing the hands.
The programme was started with washing of hands with soaps and water by all the children and the teachers of the school as well. Lecture was given that it can protect us from many diseases. An immunization programme on ‘Measles’ was organized on 1st December, 2011 in the school with the help of District Health Society, Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh.


Results of the health education Programme: At least 95 percent students WASH HANDS with soap after defecation and touching other things etc
• It has been found that water borne diseases among the students have reduced drastically. Now we have hardly one or two cases of dysentery or diarrhea in the whole year.
• Cases of malaria that were rampant earlier among the students have been reduced drastically.
• All the students SNEHA School brush their teeth daily.
• 99 percent children take bath regularly
• We can say that children are growing healthy as they play different games and sports actively in the schools.

Receptivity by Parents: Parents are receptive to the health education is proved from the fact that they don’t send the children empty stomach. Now they prepare Tiffin (food) for their children who bring to school and eat during recess. As a result cases of gastritis among the students have reduced drastically.
